"How TWEET of You" (Easter-themed) Card

Happy Easter, all!

I know this post is a little off-timed, but I just wanted to share with you a cute little Easter/thank you card. I applied some Copic coloring (colors shown below) and the patterned paper is from Paper Cottage by Basic Grey, which has a really cute set of patterns, perfect for spring and festivities! The stamp is from Inkadinkado "Friendly Characters"- a really adorable set, btw! Hope you get inspired!

"Holiday Cheer" Layout

Hey!

I know I've been doing a lot of throwback posts recently, so I kinda decided to continue the trend. The gorgeous snowflake pattern I'm using in this project is from Basic Grey's "Jovial" collection. It's the pattern "Button Nose" (has really adorable snowmen on the backside as well ). Plus, the photographs aren't actually Polaroids...I kinda cheated and cut them out so they'd look like prints from an instant camera! I know its totally off-season, but still, enjoy!

"Pacific Coast" Layout

Happy Good Friday!

This bold, rustic layout really focuses on simplicity. Tbh, I actually really liked the way this project turned out, and I might carry on this style. The wood-grain tone of the patterned paper is from (you guessed it) DIY Shop (their collection is so versatile). Paper straws and washi tape turned out to be the perfect additions to embellish the layout. The title was stamped using Tsukineko Brilliance Ink. I used it due to it being a pigment ink to be sure of the defined lines. The stamps itself were old large character stamps that I made myself. 

"Big Smiles" Watercolor Flowers Layout

Hi, all!

This layout turns out to be quite the elegant layout after all the watercoloring involved (it's pretty simple, really). To start out, I took a large floral rubber stamp from Stampin' Up and stamped it with some Adriondack Cranberry ink onto some Kraft cardstock. Taking my watercolor pencils, I hastily shaded in the regions that I wanted to involve deep red and the others that needed to be the red-orange tinge. Then, taking a fine paint-prush from Faber-Castell, I blended from inside outward until i got my desired shade. And thats all there is to it! I finished off the layout with some American craft Gold Thickers, typewriter letter stickers, and some Golden Stickles glue in the middle of the flowers.

Ink-watercolor Baby Card

Hello, all!

You may have realized I have been creating a lot of baby themed and ink-watercolor cards lately. Today, I am combining those two ideas together. 

As far as the watercolor ink goes, I am using some old Stampin' Up ink pads from ages ago. These ink pads aren't so saturated and are kind of watery, so I thought I could use them for a watercolor background. Similar to one if the previous cards, I just smushed the ink pads down on my Martha Stewart Craft Mat, sprayed water on it, and pressed down my paper. To dry it fast, I used my embossing heat tool. I simply used extra adhesive when I adhered my watercolor piece down to the cardstock to get rid of the warping. 

To glue the wooden sentiments down, I used Tombow MONO MULTI Glue. It has a strong hold and dries extremely fast.

Kaua'I "Country Living" Layout

Hey guys,

I'm sorry I had to take an unprecedented break from blogging! I had some serious family crises that I had to attend to and I didn't have time for paper-crafting or blogging amongst all the troubles... But don't you worry, I'm back now!

Today's post is yet another layout, a throwback to my trip earlier this year to Kaua'i (the most beautiful place I've been to)! Most of the materials I'm using today are from DIY Shop from Crate Paper. Hope you enjoy and get inspired!

Simple & Elegant Silver Layout

This layout is super simple yet incredibly fancy and professional. The whole project is on a gray/silver scale. To achieve the shiny paint-like background, I simply painted on Heidi Swapp Magic Medium and poured silver embossing powder on it and heated it with my embossing tool! Amazing results! Enjoy!

"Old Times" layout

I've posted another layout today :)! The inspiration for this theme comes from an old photograph of me when my parents and I lived in Pennsylvania. Boy, was I a tomboy back then with the overalls ha! I look more like Bob the Builder though! The softer patterns from this page come from My Mind's Eye Cowboy Collecton and from Crate Paper's DIY Shop. I've also used some Distress Ink (Vintage Photo) and stamping to add detail to the piece. Hope you enjoy!
